Moment of Celebration | Just Married Photos!

By, April 14, 2016

As wedding photographers, one of our favorite moments occurs right after the ceremony ends. This is the point where months of planning have become reality, vows have been exchanged, and you are officially newlyweds! We make sure to capture the first few seconds of married life, so you can always look back and remember how you felt. Whether your style is to cheer, strut, or high-five, we say take your moment… you’ve earned it :)

Because it’s almost the weekend, we put together a collection of our favorite recent “moment of celebration” photos. Enjoy!

Founders Chapel | University of San Diego

By, April 12, 2016

Founders Chapel is a house of worship located on the University of San Diego campus. Dating back to 1953, the chapel was built for what was then the San Diego College for Women. Today, it is a popular ceremony location, and is exclusive to USD students, alumni and staff. We love photographing at this classical and traditional site, and incorporating the venue’s details into memorable ceremony photographs.

Having two photographers means being able to document ceremony moments from multiple perspectives, as in the photos above.

The broad and open space of the venue allows us to capture unique vantage points, like the one below.

To capture unexpected point-of-view images, we look for opportunities such as the balcony, which has railings and gates that can be photographed through.

The interior and exterior archways add drama and symmetry, which helps to create elegantly composed images, like the ones below.

For creative couple portraits, we love making use of the surrounding campus areas, in addition to the ceremony space.

Whenever weather permits, the lush green campus lends itself to a nice variety of outdoor photo backdrops.

Falling in Love All Over Again

By, March 18, 2016

In this Photo of The Week, taken at Green Gables Wedding Estate, the look on our groom Gavin’s face says it all. When he saw his bride Gheraldine for the first time that day, as she came down the aisle, he was completely captivated. It was like love at first sight.. all over again.

The image below is a prime example of the benefit of having multiple photographers. The first and second photographers work together in synchronicity, sometimes almost telepathically. In this instance, while all eyes were on the breathtaking bride, we were also able to capture her groom’s reaction simultaneously. It was a result of “true” teamwork :)
